Community-based labour market programs focus entirely on opportunities that produce meaningful employment results for Saskatchewan First Nations people.

Organizations wanting to address the skills and employment gap with First Nations people are encouraged to connect directly with the Independent First Nation or Tribal Council who manages the community’s local labour market programs and services.

SITAG facilitates appropriate connections and utilizes various forms of communication to share information. Please note that SITAG does not influence the outcome of an opportunity between a community and organization.

Understanding the local labour market and industry is critical in responding to demand. Employers play a huge part in voicing skill shortages and opportunities to develop responsive training programs. Employers wanting to fill professional roles, project-based work, long-term or seeking to build a relationship with First Nations is welcomed!

Service Delivery & Collaboration

Organizations providing relevant training and services are needed to build on existing or enhancing existing skills of First Nations clients. Training institutes and related services assist in building people for the industry. Service delivery organizations seeking collaboration, feedback, promotion of services or wishing to participate in training plans are welcomed!
